Your English-speaking guide, sometimes Łukasz or Mario, explains the Palace of Culture, MDM district, Party House, and Ministry of Agriculture before guiding you through a recreated communist flat, café, and propaganda cinema at the Museum of Life Under Communism.

“Łukasz was a very knowledgeable and entertaining guide, he made history "come alive" for all seven of us (adults, grandma and young teens), and he kept things light with lots of jokes inbetween. Would definitely recommend this tour and especially Lukasz to anyone interested in Polish and/or communist history!”

6.Communism Tour in an Original Socialist Van

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 35 reviews · 2 hours (approx.) · from $41

Ride through Warsaw in a communist-era Nysa 522 minivan with an English-speaking guide. See the Palace of Culture, Ministry of Agriculture, Palm Tree, and Constitution Square, then spend an hour at the Museum of Life under Communism. Expect short walks, a small group, no air conditioning, and no seatbelts.

“My expectations were way too high for this tour. Up front I'll say that it was a hot day and they do warn you that the retro bus is not air conditioned, but it was nearly unbearable inside. That aside, the tour was totally underwhelming. The guide was mediocre and offered next to no information about what we were seeing. His English was limited, too, which made it harder. Not that the ONLY place you enter on thus tour is the Museum of Life Under Communism (which is tiny)....nothing more. This tour was not worth the price or time.”
