Putting the cars aside it's still a great tour to do and recommend for anyone interested in the area or period. Our guides were local to the area and made it a fun, interesting and informative tour. Our group of seven contained petrol heads and non-petrol heads and we all thought the tour was great and the cars (a Trabant and a Lada) were an added fun bonus. Highly recommend.”

12.Communism Tour in an Original Socialist Van

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 35 reviews · 2 hours (approx.) · from $41

Ride through Warsaw in a communist-era Nysa 522 minivan with an English-speaking guide. See the Palace of Culture, Ministry of Agriculture, Palm Tree, and Constitution Square, then spend an hour at the Museum of Life under Communism. Expect short walks, a small group, no air conditioning, and no seatbelts.

“My expectations were way too high for this tour. Up front I'll say that it was a hot day and they do warn you that the retro bus is not air conditioned, but it was nearly unbearable inside. That aside, the tour was totally underwhelming. The guide was mediocre and offered next to no information about what we were seeing. His English was limited, too, which made it harder. Not that the ONLY place you enter on thus tour is the Museum of Life Under Communism (which is tiny)....nothing more. This tour was not worth the price or time.”
